What’s the c part of that sandwich? We eat blt’s here and I love onions so I should try adding that. If the c part is celery then we will have to agree to disagree on that sandwich. I really dislike celery. I completely agree that home veggies and especially tomatoes are completely different than store bought. cheese What kind of cheese are you using?

cheese and onion on a BLT is a MUST.
If I want to dirty more dishes, I will toast the bread on the stove like a grilled cheese(before adding the goodies).

Our slicer tomatoes are coming on strong. I imagine in a couple weeks I'll be sick of eating them. Our cherry tomatoes are unbelievably sweet this year. It's damn near like I'm eating grapes. The wife is making another batch of creamy cukes as I type this. I bought some french onion dip with bacon bits to try this time

Perhaps this works. I didn’t try it. I am seeing more blossoms. I did add a couple of weak doses of Blooms Plus or Boost’m which are high Phos fertilizers.

I give young tomato plants weekly shots of water soluble fertilizer for tomatoes or blooms. If you look at the NPK for them both, they're pretty similar. Lots of P and K and not much N is the key for lots of blossoms (on flowers or many fruiting plants)

I just pulled the pea vines out. I think the wife blanched and froze 8-10 quarts of them in the last few weeks. We need to get our peas in earlier in the spring from now on. They don't do well in the heat. Of course, June this year was off the charts hot. That didn't help. I tried yanking out the t-posts that held up the chicken wire fence for pea vine support. They aren't coming out until I soak the shit out of the garden. Sheez. I've been watering it at least an inch a week, but those posts are in there deep. I pulled 99% of the green bean vines and dill today. The wife has plenty of both in the freezer already, and there's still probably 2 gallons of green beans in the fridge to be blanched and frozen this weekend. I got the t-posts out this time, then rototilled and threw out a bunch of "deer greens" from Outside Pride. I just fired up the sprinkler, should have a cover crop popping in a few days I'd guess.

Our cucumbers have recovered from the hail and my wife is busy making refrigerator pickles( her Mom’s recipe). I only planted about 5 feet of dill. Tomatoes look better. Beets are done and pickled( her grandma’s recipe who is currently 102).

Yesterdays harvest. Going to Colorado in a week won’t be ideal timing but not much to be done about that.
