You are young, so you will have plenty of time to plant trees at your next house. Or the next house after that!
The one thing I've noticed is that fruit trees do way better when you live on a property and can check and care for trees every couple days versus every month on a remote property. Even if you have to start from scratch at your next place I'm sure it will go faster than you think since you can care for them.

How is the pregnancy going? I can tell you it probably sucks now, but it eventually gets much better.
My wife was knocked up for a good portion of our first 7 years of marriage. When she was pregnant she was pretty ornery too, which I can say because i know she doesn't frequent habitat forums.

Throw on top of it living at my mom and dads....some days are downright brutal!

Your aunt may think the trees are to stay? My mom made it clear any that could be moved would be moved. Shitty part is I have nowhere to move them too! 😅 I'll send you my address in Bertha. I've got plenty of room for them! 😉

Good luck SC. Things will work out. Things that seem important today may not seem important down the road. Vice versa. As priorities change. Little Chunk may have siblings too. Just remember the dam rut the next time. You’ll have your hands full either way. One thing is certain. The older you get the less free time you’ll have. For now you need to find Momma Chunk a house. Whether it be with 1/4 acre or 20. There’s plenty of people on here that’ll get you scions if you ever need them.

I text my aunt just minutes ago that we wouldn’t be able to swing purchasing grandmas place. On to the next adventure and I’m hoping I will be able to leave my trees until fall and dig them up. Guess it’s time to start getting things ready to move from there. Sorry to hear that, family situations can be difficult. Everybody has there own interests in mind. Digging up and replanting will be a chore but can be done. Have a land tour of grandmas and we will all bring shovels and get-er done. You’ll need to find a place to store them, maybe moms back yard?

Find a home and keep the missus happy should be your priority. We will have plenty of scion for you.
When my girls were younger, it was great to live on the land. Well, it still is. I could get out of the house for a few minutes or when they were older for longer periods and still be home to check on them.
We moved four times after marriage before getting into our present home. Last move was from an old trailer at same location to our house.

I would like to offer some free marriage advice.
Don’t refer to the pregnant Mrs as Mrs Chunk. Never ever ever.

I think Mrs Kooch is a great name. I also think my Mrs is more accepting of being called bat shit crazy instead of chunk.

Gosh, that would be a great idea, I will keep that in mind! No idea where they will end up, maybe on craigslist along with the cages, fence posts and conduit? IDK..

Even if its to graft, grow a couple of years and sell.

I picked a Norland from a small tree that I had in my nursery today. I know that letting them fruit in there is a no no, but when it had 6-7 of them on there this spring I had to just leave one haha. It should have been picked a few days earlier as it was a little soft on the side that was hit by the sun. Always cool to get apples in August!
