It wasn't easy but I finally found a source. I have a 5 gallon pail of SB seeds. If ya'll are interested, I'll keep this thread updated with how this plays out. I got some seed from a buddy last year but it must've sat on a self for years before I got it cause not a single seed germinated. I believe the seed I have this time around is 2016 left-over.
I plan to plant two food plots, half the available acreage, in the core of my property. Might be 1.5 - 2 acres.

Old sugar beet seed did not sprout a bit for me.
I have given up on sugar beets. Just not worth the effort for me.

Borrowed my buddies Brillion & used it as a culti-packer. I had disced both fields two weeks ago.

Looks like you could use some rain! No doubt! We got a tremendous amount of rain in April & May so the heavy soils still have decent moisture but we need a good soaker.

I have thought about planting a couple rows of Sugar beets between my corn and soybeans. If they produce the tonnage they are suppose to they would be a nice addition to a plot. I have never looked for RR Sugar beets but would like to experiment with them.

In NW MN, I watched many deer walk through my soybeans to get to my neighbors sugar beet field. I have never seen anything draw like sugar beets. .
