Anybody who is still a member of the MDHA after this, deserves everything they get with regards to whitetails here in MN. I would rather fund PETA than that POS Craig E.

I give Art a shitload of credit for trying to work within MDHA. He's put a lot of time and effort into trying to get state MDHA to more closely resemble a deer advocacy group. The MCC-MDHA deserves respect for their attempts.
That said...State MDHA just continues to sell out the deer hunters of this state. I'll never re-join and they'll never get another penny out of me.

I may have missed it, but I see nothing of significance from MDHA/Craig in today's ODN

I have stated before and will continue pushing my stance...Art is an amazing man to do all he has tried to do for the deer hunter here in MN. Under the letters of MDHA. I witnessed first hand his patience at a deer group meeting. Well thought out and presented facts(none of the other members came with anything like it). The activities that he and others are involved with, specifically the youth, thru the MDHA are very admirable.
After all of the latest MN DNR tom foolery and the way Craig E. has responded...anything now done with the name of MDHA will most certainly not help the hunters of MN and in actuality hurt them greatly. Great men like Art bring credibility to Craig E. and MDHA. That needs to stop now!....IMHO

Fish is correct. MDHA has become a public relations arm for the DNR. "We are upset but are working to fix it" seems their new mantra. They do more harm than good by allowing the DNR to degrade the hunt. Long term the feeding will be gone and they will have helped reduce the herd to a level that won't attract 500,000 MN deer hunters.
I believe every 'quality' deer opportunity in MN is gone. School Craft, Ripley, blah blah. MDHA watched it all happen in a circle jerk with Lou and crew.

I've been calling MDHA the privatized branch of the MN DNR for a few years. When they hired Craig, that pretty much confirmed my "theory". Why else would they have hired a guy fresh out of the MN DNR? Duh...
Once baiting and feeding is banned statewide (when, not if) MDHA's founding principle will cease to exist.
Go along to get along
