I am only posting to show what the other side is thinking. And how these shootings are viewed.
You would think Chump would have gotten the NRA to arm everyone so they all have an even chance. Nothing stimulates the economy like arms sales.
This country is a disgrace. A good idea in 1789 isn't necessarily a good idea in 2018. The 18th amendment seemed like a good idea at the time. Canada hasn't attacked since 1814, Mexico since 1848. The Indians have been ethnically cleansed sufficiently to not have to worry about them attacking in the night. I don't know why they were so sore anyway? All we did was steal their land, give them blankets full of small pox, make them alcoholics with rot gut liquor, slaughter the buffalo, and slaughter them.
Now to make america great again, we need more guns to slaughter each other. Take away the social benefits to the poor and give them guns instead. That way Chump can eliminate the biggest drag on the economy, poor people.

Just for clarification...are these your views or some others that you saw posted somewhere else? I have to ask in between my convulsions of puke.

Being on this advisory committee for the school remodel, one of the things we are discussing is safety of the students. I have made it a point, and the teachers don't like it, to tell everyone, there is not a damn thing you can do about a mass school shooting if someone wants to come into your school. The only way you can limit such things from happening is put a 12' fence with concertina wire on top around your school and have single point access in with a guard at that only gate. And even then, its not 100% safe.

I am only posting to show what the other side is thinking. And how these shootings are viewed. Nobody that knows that amount of history actually believes what is being said in that statement. That is regurgitated sh*t. Typical angry mushhead. They don't know why they're angry. They just are, and will latch onto anything that seems to legitimize how they feel. You're dealing with the copy, paste, forward, retweet, "like" crowd. That's not an independent thought.

The comments I have seen are attacking the fact that an AR is a "military style" rifle. These folks don't even understand what they are bitching about. Another "black gun" that the liberal left wants to demonize, even though it's simply a semi-automatic weapon..... They are judging the weapon based on what it looks like and no more....."it looks like an army gun so it must be bad" sort of shit.
I agree with Mo that in most cases if someone is truly determined to do this type of thing there is little you can do (within reason) to stop it.
We don't need more laws. We need to enforce and better support the systems/laws we have. Punishing the law abiding public because of the acts of criminals is STUPID! It's not the school, it's not the gun....it's the individual! Take that weapon away from that ass-hole and lay it on the table and it won't hurt anyone!
A government should fear it's people, not the other way around! You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead fingers!

Think how easy it would be to go into a gym/stadium and shoot up the crowd. It is scary these deranged people do it, but it is reality. I am all for armed guards in school, possibly a staff member, two or three with a handgun in a hidden accessible area.

I know my kids school has an officer on site any time school is in session and one on site during any school sanctioned event like a dance or sporting event. Now will that prevent anything....not sure and really doubt it....it may limit the damage done however.....MAY!
What kills me is how people are so comfortable depending on the police to protect them......ummmmm.....I live in the sticks and they fuzz ain't helping anyone for at least 10 to 15 minutes. You best be prepared to cope on your own for a while!
Laws don't stop criminals.....laws stop law abiding citizens!

The people making comments to depend on cops are the ones living in the city J-bird. They have a cop nearby almost all the time. They want you to live the same way.

If you remove all the mass shootings that happened in unguarded gun-free zones, the number drops to near zero. These shooters aren't courageous. They're throwing a tantrum, which is quite different from looking for a fight.

The only solution to limit the damage is have anonymous armed teachers. Give training to any that want that responsibility and arm them all. These nut jobs would not be so tough if they thought someone might shoot back.

The sheriff down there is calling for gun control now.
How about banning all cars and trucks so they can't run everyone over in a crowd. How about banning all pipes so they can't make pipe bombs, how about we ban all knives so we cant stab anyone.......when does it end.

You can even weaponize a prius with enough room to get up to speed. Anyone keeping an eye on Wildfire?
