I've been drinking since 2:30pm... this post has my mind reeling with possible replies. I'm keeping that shit to myself! I probably should have had at least 2 paragraphs in my post to separate ideas. You have an hour head start on me for drinking At this point what does 2 paragraphs or two word matter? I catch your drift AND smell what you're stepping in. I'm in the shop, have to run to the house and go down stairs to the basement to the beer fridge to get a new drink (every time!). I'm going to be fit tomorrow!

Is the wife drinking with me? The wife drinks more than I do...honest to God. I like Door County wine. We order a case or two a year whenever they run free shipping. If you haven't been to Door County, WI..it's a trip worth taking. Major brownie points with the wife

I feel like I’m dredging up some unresolved emotion and conflict here. You’re welcome. This might have been the post when I realized Kooch belonged here

Who ever thought that one up??

I don't see me taking a trip to Wisconsin for a bottle of wine (went there for a couple of National CC races though), maybe cheese curds or trout fishing would get me there.?.? For wine I get St. James out of MO or the local vineyards (Did ya know KS has vineyards? They have to fence them to keep the monster bucks out. No sheep.). It's fun when the wife drinks more than you. Congrats! My wife is strictly beer and rum. She drinks hard once in a while then swears it off, but that never lasts long. She's at birthday parties with the 11yr old right now. I'm home alone!

Kerosene and potatoes... pretty good the way we did it.

I'd prefer a fish fry, but a well prepared fish boil is worth eating. Ain't no lye involved...that's for lutefisk

What the hell is Luke fish anyway? Wasn't that on Bizzar Foods once? My wife won't eat fish. Tried seafood in Main, Virginia, and Oregon. Wants to like it, always ends up giving it to me.

That said, Door County has a lot to offer. Wineries. Orchards. World class small mouth bass fishing. World class musky fishing. Fantastic king, coho, rainbow trout, and lake trout fishing. Cheese curds (duh, it's WI). Some decent fine dining (not world class, but pretty doggone good). Door County is a reasonably priced (not cheap, but a heckuva lot cheaper than plenty of trips) trip worth doing....IMHO

She loves outdoors flowers, good food, and easy fishing. We may have to look into that!

I need to have a consult with MO (and possible SD) later this year after some golf. I plan to get a fertilizer "buggy" loaded with needed soil nutrients this year. If I buy 6000 lbs or more....they will supply a PTO driven budgey to my land.....and I can apply it with my tractor. I can choose the ratios of NPK, pell lime, sulfur, (gypsum?) and more. If memory serves the filled buggy would run me from $600 to $800 depending on what I choose for the mix. Would save allot of work and mixing, etc. I need to get to the feed store and do a visit with the manager and firm up the prices. I think I am going to do some corn and those liberty beans this year. Gonna be expensive....but what the hell........if SD can do it.....so will I. ......only with some real horse-POWER. I'm getting too old to fool around with a leaf blower. If you can get a consult with Mo, take it. He taught me some stuff this year with Brad's beans. So, if you can get the best do it. If you can't, call me. If you're gonna throw that kind of money at it, I'd get a couple good soil tests first. Cost you about $50-$60. And I wouldn't give those co-op guys a penny unless they can tell you what kind of lime they're selling you. And don't kid yourself, the serious pounds go out by hand via 5 gallon bucket on foot. This is why I have such a jihad against acidifying my soil, at least by any actions I take.
