I know not that many guys on this forum get all excited about fruit trees, but there still needs to be a GRIN thread or two.
I just received my pear scions from GRIN. I ordered 5 varieties of apple scions and 3 of pear this year and got them all. Now to get the grafts to take come spring.

I have not heard a thing from GRIN, yet. It might just be more fishing time next spring.
I did want to give Shafer another try, but could pull scion from a farmer's tree that I suspect is shafer.

When did you submit your request? 9-22-16 and I received confirmation. Two years ago they thought I wanted budwood.

I checked out the GRIN scions tonight and waxed the cut ends. Rebagged them in the large plastic bag with a moist paper towel and set the on the top rear shelf of my fridge. They are great looking scions. I hope my rootstock is large enough to handle these. I received 3 scions on two of the varieties and two on everything else. Should be busy the first week in March.

I've seen on a fruit growing forum where folks wrap the entire scions with parafilm. They keep them in storage that way, then when they graft the scions are already wrapped and ready to go. Almost seems like overkill to me, but it does make sense.
