I was at Ace yesterday picking up a new ladder for Kamp Kooch, 20' extension ladder. The Lodge Cast Iron display sucked me in. I almost bought a griddle for my two burner propane stove. But, I wasn't sure it'll fit well. Next time up I'll measure.

I need a weber kettle at camp. Long ago, I turned in my testicles and went all propane at home. Maybe up there I can strap my nuts back on and cook like a man again.

That requires electricity. I got none of that at camp. At home, I could do that. We gave in and went grid power around the same time I lost my testicles.

I have an iron deal I drive into the ground with hooks and shit dangling off it, also a little steel grill. Its the kind of thing a guy might use on a backcountry trip with pack animals. It’s made for cooking over a campfire. You can swing the hook arms and move them up and down.
I used it over charcoal last time up and just burnt some hot dogs. Building a little fire and cooking that way was a nice throwback feeling. It forced me to slow down and just enjoy the process of cooking instead of rushing through it all.
Maybe I’ll get a Dutch oven and learn how to go that route instead of a Weber.

I cooked over hedge tonight. Our pellet grill runs off a car battery. Always have one of those around...

All you griddle guys are just falling prey to SD's manipulation. This is a social studies experiment. You're all sheep.

Back to charcoal. Buck common consensus. The Flat Earther convinced you all to cook on a flat top. Can't you see it man?

For the record, I have great respect for SD and hold him in high regard. But I still think he's full of shit on this. Mind you, I've never eaten off one. But, it doesn't matter. My preconceived notions are accurate even when they have no basis in lived experience.
