Minnesota could figure out a better landowner doe tag system. Maybe have a free one if you allow public hunting, and if you don’t want public hunting then you pay $10? For example “If” you are in a bonus tag area, the bonus tag only costs $18. so you’d be willing to pay $10 keep public hunting out, but $18 is too much?

Skunked last night hunting my best plot.
Saw 1 this morning passed by out of range. Cold steady rain made a miserable hunt. Was hoping to shoot another doe for the freezer but it didn’t happen in the late season.
I pulled safely lines and pop up blinds. 1 week of archery left but I’m done for the year. Chainsaw comes out during my next trip.

There is potential. My old place they always shed early. This ground is better with crops nearby so they seem to hold longer. I didn’t pull cards but I had some bucks holding 2 weeks ago.
I don’t shoot unless I put binos on their skull.
Over the years my BIL and dad have shot shed bucks during muzzy the first week of January. Dads deer had been gored weeks earlier. He had watched him for weeks and got mixed up when deer buggered and shot the wrong one. BIL buck had zero fat and run down.
