Been using the CL system for 3 years now. Love it. A bit of a learning curve to get started, but smooth sailing since. No better system available to run up to 24 cams tied to one cellular plan for $20/month. I run 2 networks on 2 different properties. You'll want the D battery packs for wooded non-solar option if you plan on leaving out 3+ months. Set your batch to 1hr and you get an update on your phone every hour (if there's pics). Most of the settings can be set/changed online as well. There's a dedicated FB group which is helpful for your troubleshooting needs. ^ very helpful intel right here. THANKS.....I did buy the exterior battery packs for all three cameras.....and will get a solar unit (when they are available) for the "master unit". I am going after more D batteries right now. I may need to pick your brain a bit more later. Right now I am reading and studying.....although they set me up to pretty much just turn the switches on at Archery Country. Great guys.

I had one of the early units. Thought it was a good idea (in fact I had created an idea of sending pics over radio to a cell unit or wifi unit long ago but didn't want to tackle that coding job myself). The company at the time promised a cheaper base unit that wasn't a camera. With it I could have daisy chain cameras around the property that radio'd pics to the base unit that was usb connected to my PC, which in turn would send emails to my phone via internet. No extra cell plan needed. They didn't produce a base unit during the time I had my camera and I decided it wasn't worth a new cell plan and replacing broken equipment every yr. I imagine they've figured a lot of this stuff out by now or they would have had to scrap the product line.

testing the new cameras with all three in my yard last night. Putting them out today. That guy looks familiar. Kind of a shifty character. Tell your wife to keep an eye on him!

Well....todays plan to put cameras out is on hold for a bit. Got some company today....and really enjoyed our visit with some friends from OZ that were in the area. My wife really enjoyed that time....but two hours wears her out. Still having some breathing issues due to fluid. Hoping for improvement that seems very slow to come. Maybe tommorow or ? Dunno. Gotta run to Fargo and back on Tuesday on important biz. . I guess I got time to get deer pics...and will get those cameras placed when I get 'em placed. Time just fly's by.....can't seem to get it all done. One nice thing about work....it's always there when you come back.

After testing my Cuddy-link system at my home for a few days.....I bought 4 more cameras today.....and two solar banks to power a few cameras on an "indefinite' basis. I now have seven cameras in the filed and all have good battery packs to last thru 2021 and a two will have the solar power to take them into Sumer 2022 and beyond. I like having these cameras for the security purposes at my building site.....and another to monitor deer over the winter. Should be an ideal set up for me. My cell cost is currently $20 / month and I can stop / start any time I wish. I could run as many as 24 cameras for this same fee....but this will be enough for my pupoases. Kinda nice to be able to check my deer herd and my belongings.....from anywhere I am.....and at such a fair price. Of course the entry point is not cheap....but none of the other solutions are as good for these prices as this one. (I think). Quite satisfied at this point. Hope it does not turn into a Polaris. .

Plots are looking good! I may have to adjust my cereal grain planting next year. August 15th might be too early. With the tiller I get much better germination than I ever did with throw and mow. Will need to adjust somewhat. I had germination this year after a week with no rain even. Getting dirt over the seed makes a ton of difference. Also need to make sure I don’t go to heavy on the brassicas when planting in a tilled plot. I’m hoping once I get my rotation set up exactly how I want it (likely next year) I’ll try and go to no till brassica planting in that half of the plot. Mow the clover/rye from the previous year right over it. Or get a crimper. I might look into purchasing a disk first. Would be faster than tilling.

^. I'm reminiscing of the 4000 stumps I ground out of those trails and plots over the years...while developing a never ending sore neck these days. Paid a price for that gig.....but the plots and shooting lanes are really nice now. Proud. . Lotsa work developing the Deertopia Proving Grounds to it's current state.

BEFORE you buy a roller crimper of any brand.....make sure you talk to me. I may have a deal for you. Seriously. Mr Haney / aka Foggy.

Trail work is honest work, that's for sure. I've got more to do on mine next year to continue smoothing them out. They get better every year. I think this time I need to find an ATV disc to carve off some of the humps and fill holes and really pack it down. I'll probably have Larry try it with his leveling bar first. I'd really love to punt the logger in the taint that created all my ruts. That's shit'll be there for many lifetimes. That first plot pic looks exceptionally good. The rest look really good too. Now we gotta get ya to put in 10% spring forage barley to really drive up the late season pull factor.

I admit I got allot to learn here.....but I aint showing all my cards yet. Too bad your so stubborn and would not take my bait on that trailer I was gonna give you. Too late now. You dont need one anyway. Tsk Tsk. Now...if your smart....you will pay very close attention to my next give-away plan to be told at some point on this very thread. Huge ear to ear grin. . You would like (and need) this baby. Just may be some time before it is revealed. Ask Big Jerry.....grin. .

I watch the Joe and Zack Survival channel on youtube a lot. As much as I like the way that dude shoots his videos, he spends every waking moment of his days just fixing and maintaining his possessors possessions. Guy probably has every single gadget ever dangled in front of a DIY'er. I think he's got 3 different grills, a smoker, and a campfire grill at his cabin. A true monument to consumption.

One nice thing about the Cuddy Link system is that you get a daily report on the condition of the cameras, the batteries, the memory, and the pics taken in the past day, etc. Then you can go into the program on your computer and remove the pics from the memory cards without going on site to do so. VERY NICE features. Cuddy Report.webarchive (13.63 KB) ^. Had to do a copy and paste....and it lost all the columns. It's actually very organized on the screen and in an instant you know what is going on with your camera system. I think most cell cams are similar.
I can check all kinds of things on the Tactacam app and change settings. I love not having to go and physically get a card to see what’s been going on. It feels like you’re hunting with these things. I know MRI (most recent info as the drury’s like to say) will be much easier/efficient/useful with the cell cams this year.
My very first camera 10 plus years ago was a cuddeback. It took nice clear pics. I hated the D battery part but it eventually wouldn’t connect with the batteries after several years of use.
