Good luck guys, I hope you see and shoot whatever makes you happy.
There were zero out of towners dressed in orange at the LP Legion earlier this evening. That's a bit unusual from previous years' observations. The Cargill compound north of me a couple miles sure had lots of traffic in and out of the driveway the last few days, so I assume the well heeled city fellers are up to hunt, maybe they're just not out and about.

So many crops standing in our area I hope the harvesting of spikes and fork horns is limited because of it. I did buy a rifle license so I can hunt with my daughter for a week before I head back to AZ. Been a while since a rifle hunted here. No expecting much.

Traffic today on 10 was veryyy busy.
One very odd observation... We didnt see any fresh roadkills From about Rice all the way to Henning. That is certainly a first.

We're all of 5-7 days from peak rut.

They are chasing good up here last two days. Even saw a shooter moving No doubt they're chasing. I just don't think the chasing will be at peak for at least a few days yet. It's usually pretty clear on Hwy 27 and C.R. 12 when it's peak rut.

I have seen a couple little bucks try to bump around some does but that’s it. Every doe here still has her fawns with her.

I took the day off to pheasant hunt today and got skunked. But I did see a pile of young bucks cruising mid morning across random open fields.
A good friend hit a big one today that was chasing a doe with several other mature bucks, so if you are in the right spot tomorrow could be good
Shoot straight tomorrow and be safe-

My son was called to a buck hit just east of St Cloud Wed night. When he was offshift, he went back with another deputy and quartered it up and Brandon is getting a Euro on antlers. Very neat rack. Its a 6 pt, very old deer, on his way down. Tank of a deer. Then last night by Princeton, a super nice buck with a base on the right antler that is just massive and has a unicorn point sticking out of it was killed by car.

Some average sized tracks with dew claws chasing smaller tracks. When the craziness really hits, the roads are torn up with tracks from huge to tiny. With the rising pressure in the forecast on Wednesday/Thursday, I'm guessing those may be really good days to spend in the woods. I suppose the best time to be in the woods is when your target buck walks past your stand...

I do have a big one that just showed up on camera in Missouri yesterday. I should be hunting there. Lol.
